Business gas procurement
Business gas procurement offer comparison and broker support
As a gas broker in Poland, we help businesses obtain offers from gas suppliers, compare the terms and select the most advantageous proposal. Based on your contract, invoice and consumption profile, we identify the types of offers worth requesting: a fixed price, a variable price, a market-indexed formula or another structure suited to how your business uses gas.
Is your gas contract coming to an end, or would you like to see whether suppliers can offer better terms? Energy Trend guides you through the quotation process: from organising the data and requirements, through contacting gas suppliers, to comparing proposals and supporting your choice of the most advantageous option.
Under our standard arrangement, the client does not pay us a separate brokerage commission for concluding a contract. Energy Trend is paid by the gas supplier whose offer is selected.

WHO BENEFITS
Which businesses benefit from this service
This service is for businesses that want to obtain and compare offers from gas suppliers without managing the entire process themselves. It is particularly useful when gas is a significant operating cost, an existing contract is about to expire, or a business wants to find out whether better terms are available.

Businesses nearing the end of their current contract
For businesses whose existing gas contract is approaching expiry and that want to request new supplier offers in good time.

Organisations looking to explore the market
For businesses that want to compare gas offers without handling supplier enquiries, evaluating proposals and reviewing contract clauses themselves.

Manufacturing and industrial facilities
For facilities where gas is used in production processes, heating or heat generation and represents a significant operating cost.

Service, retail, logistics and technical facilities
For sites where gas consumption has a significant impact on operating costs and offers need to be compared carefully.

Businesses with one large gas offtake point (PPG) or multiple sites
For clients who also want to compare electricity offers alongside gas or discuss procuring both utilities in a single process.

Businesses that have already received a supplier offer
For businesses that already have a proposal and want to determine whether to accept it, negotiate it or compare it with other offers.

Businesses also interested in electricity procurement
For clients who also want to compare electricity offers alongside gas or discuss procuring both utilities in a single process.

As a guide, this service is most worthwhile when annual gas costs exceed approximately PLN 100,000. You can still contact us if your consumption is lower — we will assess whether comparing offers makes economic sense.
How we help your business find a gas offer
We do more than simply collect price quotations. First, we establish what type of offer to request from suppliers: a fixed price, a variable price, a market-indexed formula or another arrangement suited to how the business uses gas.
For gas, the unit price is not the only consideration. Consumption seasonality, volume, number of gas offtake points, contract term, minimum and maximum offtake requirements, and clauses that may affect the actual contract cost also matter.
This allows you to compare proposals prepared on the same basis rather than unrelated offers with different pricing structures. It makes it easier to select the most advantageous option and reduces the risk of signing a contract that looks attractive only at first glance.
Choosing a procurement model
OFFER COMPARISON
What we compare in business gas offers
Comparing gas offers involves more than putting unit prices side by side. Proposals may differ in their pricing structure, contract duration, volume requirements, additional charges and clauses that affect the actual contract cost.
Offer structure
A fixed price, variable price, market-indexed formula or another billing model.
Gas price
The basic gas commodity rate, which is usually the first figure a client compares.
Units and billing method
Whether the offer and invoice use kWh, MWh or m³, and how gas consumption is converted between units.
Volume requirements
Minimum and maximum offtake, tolerances, surcharges and the consequences of deviations from declared consumption.
Additional charges
Service fees, administration costs, fixed charges and other items affecting the total cost.
Contract term
Contract duration, renewal conditions and termination provisions.
Restrictive clauses
Indexation clauses, special terms and mechanisms that may affect the actual cost.
Gas offtake points / PPG
Where there are multiple offtake points, we help organise the data and compare offers using consistent assumptions.
Who pays for the gas broker's service?
Under our standard arrangement, the client does not pay us a separate commission for brokering a gas supply contract. Energy Trend is paid by the gas supplier whose offer the client selects.
If the scope includes additional reports, an independent review of offers collected directly by the client, or recommendations for the management board, we agree and price that work separately.
NO SEPARATE COMMISSION
Under the standard arrangement, the client pays us no separate brokerage commission.
How we work together
How the process of obtaining electricity offers works

You provide your current gas contract — whether a supply-only or combined contract — your latest invoice, and basic information about your business and gas consumption.
We define the enquiry requirements
Based on your data, we determine which types of offers to request from suppliers: a fixed price, variable price, market-indexed formula or another structure suited to your gas usage.
We send enquiries to gas suppliers
We obtain offers from suppliers able to meet the agreed requirements and billing model.
We compare the proposals
We review prices, offer structures, volume requirements, contract terms, restrictive clauses and additional costs.
We support your decision
We explain the differences between proposals and help you choose the most advantageous option.
We help you switch suppliers
Once an offer has been selected, we support the formalities involved in concluding a contract or switching gas suppliers.
Do you also need electricity offers or support with both utilities?
We can help you procure gas alone, compare electricity offers or arrange both utilities together. If you would like to discuss a broader procurement process, mention it in the form or contact us directly — we will recommend an appropriate scope of support.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions
most businesses ask before contacting us.
Can’t find your question here?

Does Energy Trend sell gas?
Can you also help with electricity or both utilities?
Yes. We can help with gas offers, electricity offers or both utilities together. Simply describe your situation in the form or contact us directly — we will determine the appropriate way forward.
Which documents should I send?
Ideally, send your current gas contract — supply-only or combined — and your latest invoice. The contract lets us review the contractual terms, while the invoice shows how you are currently billed and the scale of consumption. If you do not yet have all the documents, send what you have and we will clarify the missing details in the next step.
Why use a broker if I can contact suppliers myself?
You can send enquiries to suppliers yourself. A broker, however, helps structure the requirements, obtain offers using comparable pricing models and check the factors that affect the actual contract cost — not just the gas unit price.
Do you compare prices only?
No. We compare the price, offer structure, volume requirements, consumption seasonality, contract duration and clauses that may affect the actual cost of gas.
Do you help businesses switch gas suppliers?
Yes. Once an offer has been selected, we support the formalities involved in concluding a contract or switching gas suppliers.
Do I need multiple offtake points to use the service?
No. The number of offtake points is not the decisive factor. The service can make sense for a single offtake point if annual gas costs are significant for the business. As a guide, it is worth considering an offer comparison when gas bills exceed approximately PLN 100,000 a year.
Does the client pay for the standard brokerage service?
Under our standard arrangement, the client does not pay us a separate commission for brokering a gas supply contract. Energy Trend is paid by the gas supplier whose offer is selected. We price additional reports, independent offer reviews and recommendations for management separately.
Where do the offers presented to clients come from?
We send enquiries to gas suppliers with whom we work and who can meet the agreed requirements. If the client wants to include offers they have collected themselves, we agree that scope separately.
I already have a supplier offer — can you review it?
Yes. We can review an offer’s price, structure, volume requirements, consumption seasonality and contractual terms. We treat this as an individual assessment and agree the scope separately.
Do you also analyse gas distribution costs?
Under this service, we focus on gas supply offers and the terms proposed by suppliers. Distribution charges, tariff groups, contracted capacity and other distribution billing parameters may require a separate assessment. If you would like us to examine these as well, mention it in the form and we will identify the appropriate scope of support.
When should we start the process?
Ideally, several months before your current contract expires. The more time available to collect documents, prepare an enquiry and compare offers, the lower the risk of having to decide under pressure.
